“Lisa is an inspirational speaker and obviously an expert in her field. We spend so much time working on the business it’s difficult to maintain a good work/life balance. Lisa helped put things into perspective and helped us all focus on how behaviour, feelings and attitude impact on our performance. She taught us how simple it is to start changing behaviour and achieve a positive outlook and power up. Fantastic!”

James Ellington walked into Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, aged 14, on a cold October night in 1999. There, he shook hands with new coach John Powell, whose squad had an international reputation for developing young sprinting talent both in the UK and abroad. It was a partnership and beginning of a chapter in James’ existence that would change his life forever!
James Ellington is one of the strongest believers in sport and its by-products. His occasional employment by Met-Track, a youth diversion scheme founded and run by coach John Powell, has seen him working with some challenging young Londoners, passing on his experience and mentoring them toward positive futures. It’s a philosophy the Ellington brand holds dear – in keeping with his coach’s motto, he truly believes in “Achieving Excellence by Endeavour”!
James eloquently tells his inspiring story detailing how he overcame adversity, and through hard graft, determination, dedication and an unstoppable will to win, achieved his life time ambition of representing his country at the very highest level, breaking records and collecting many medals along the way.

“I saw John at a recent industry event. As part of the day we get to see many “speakers”. Often this is just the case, they are speakers. John is different. In a world that is trying to be progressive, regressive and reactive, we need to be inspired by someone who breaks the mould. John does just that. Let me start with his delivery style, quick, funny, keeping you on your toes and wondering what next. He uses magic to bring alive the valid and provoking points he makes. Be under no illusions, this is not a magic show, but someone who taps into even the most sceptical mind! He has made me think about how we can use the problem solving powers of others, and that giving is so important. Finally, most of our blockages- the things that stop us, are in our own minds and can be overcome.”
Mel Moorehouse, Operations People Plan Manager at Tesco PLC
“I recently had the pleasure to attend one of johns presentations and was blown away by his delivery motivating messages and humour. He captivated the audience and left everyone wanting more, I have already been following some of Johns motivational techniques and advice and can honestly say it is already beginning to make a difference to how approach my career and home life. Highly recommend you attend a session if you can.”
